Sportail for Sportsters. The frame is made out of heavy wall tubing, all TIG welded. The neck has a 38 degrees rake. The engine stays centered in the frame. The Sportail comes in 2 different versions: the “Wide Ass” holds  up to 200 wide tires, the “Super Ass” holds up to 250 wide tires. With both frames a belt drive can still be used. A longer belt is needed (135 teeth) because of the longer frame. An offset pulley for the transmission is also needed to clear the tire.

The frame is set up for frontends with a 1” stem (any Sportster or Big Twin 1981 and up), Softail style shocks (up to 1999) and Softail style forward controls (up to 1999). Due to the different swingarm, a brake caliper bracket for a rigid frame must be used. Due to the right side drive our special oil tank or a round oil tank must be used.

We offer the frame for Sportsters Iron head motors 1974-85 and the Sportsters Evo motors 1986-2003 (please specify when ordering).

The frame kit includes: Sportail frame, swingarm, stainless swingarm pivot bolts with chrome spacer, swingarm bearing kit, chrome plated rear axle with washers and nuts, stainless swingarm splash guard, rear brake anchor rod, front motor mount, rear motor mount, belt guard, engine and shocks protection plate.
