DάX Engines

After 10 years of developing and building big inch engines, tried and tested on the drag strip and on the street, Dux finally came out with their new 200” engine!! The cases are highest quality cast aluminum, especially made for this engine, allowing a bore of 5.750”. Cylinders are made from billet ductile iron for the least amount of heat expansion.

With a price tag of $23,500.00 for the 200-Y ($21,500 for the 200”), this engine is one of the most expensive V-Twin engines on the market, but you get what you pay for! These engines are built in small quantities, and only the best components are being used. German engineering at its best!

There are two versions available, the 200 and the 200-Y. The 200 has one carburetor and smaller valves, the 200-Y has a specially designed y-shaped manifold, two carburetors, hotter cam and huge valves. Here are the specs on the 200-Y engine (200 in brackets):

Bore: 5.750”   Stroke: 3.850”   Displacement: 200”
Intake valve: 2.850” (2.450”)   Exhaust valve: 2.125” (1.940)
Rod length: 8.500”   Cams: Red Shift 790 (715)   Pushrods: solid (hydraulic)
Carburetor(s): Mikuni 48mm   Ignition: Daytona Twin Tec
Power output: 260 RWHP at 6800 rpm (200 RWHP at 5200 rpm)

The height of the engine is only 5/8” taller than a stock engine, making it easy to put it in stock frames (reinforcing the frame is highly recommended!!) or strong custom frames (i.e.: “Steroid” frames from Sculpture Cycles)

Please contact us via email to receive a video clip of this engine running!
